Problem Error
Failed to open USBTMC device: oopen /dev/usbtmc0: no such file or directory
Explanation of Problem
The PC is unable to talk to the analyzer over the USB interface. Most likely the analyzer USB ID has changed (to USBTMC1 or higher number) and software cannot talk to the hardcoded USBTMC0 device it expects.
Solution
- Check that USB cable is connected to both NUC and analyzer.
- Press power button (red) to turn off the analyzer.
- Unplug the power from the analyzer, wait 30 seconds or until the power button is no longer red.
- Restart the PC.
- Click on the power button on the top right of the screen
- Select the reboot option
- While the PC is rebooting plug power to analyzer and turn on
- When PC restarts open Firefox and initiate a new test.
- Note if the error repeats or test passes.
